AI GLOSSARY

Training Data

Training data is the labelled dataset used to teach a machine learning model to recognise patterns and make predictions. It serves as the foundation for the model’s learning process, providing examples from which the model can generalise to new, unseen data. The quality and diversity of training data are crucial to the model’s accuracy and effectiveness in real-world applications.
